Why the name "Kootenay Covers?"

Kootenay Covers were first invented and used in the beautiful Kootenay River region of southeastern British Columbia in Canada. If you are from a wonderful area like the Kootenay River region, you like to let people know where you are from. Hence "Kootenay Covers!"

"Kootenay" is pronounced several ways, the most common being "Coot'-n-knee". The Kootenay region is well known for its excellent fruit, especially sweet cherries.

Kootenay Covers have been used for over 14 years, primarily in British Columbia. As their use continues to spread into the United States and beyond, we honor their origin and heritage.
